The Solution:

One of the most common problems with using The Answer Guys Crossword Puzzle Answers site is
that many of you are doing the puzzle with a paper that is not the New York Times.

That is okay! We have the answers you are looking for!  

You need to use a slightly different system to find the answers, and here is how it works:

When your puzzle is a syndicated puzzle (the puzzle runs in a paper other than the NYT), you need to use a four-digit number that accompanies your puzzle called the "puzzle number" This "puzzle number" tells you when the puzzle ran in the NYT orginally, and we can use that date to find the answers you are looking for.

For example:  (All of these puzzles would be in the 2008 Puzzle Archive)

Puzzle 0309 = March 9th, 2008
Puzzle 0612 = June 12th, 2008
and Puzzle 0227 = February 27th, 2008

However, if you find a puzzle number that represents a date that has not occured yet in 2008,
you will need to look in the 2007 Puzzle Archives, like:

Puzzle 1015 = October 15th, 2007
and Puzzle 1216 = December 16th, 2007
